ArtyA is proud to announce its collaboration with Korean Master Na Jeon Chil Gee & Watchmaker Kim Hanmoi.
The result is a marvelous hand made arabesque ArtyA skull in the purest Ott-Chill’s thousands of years old tradition.
This craftmanship requires highly refined technical and artistic skills to handcraft mother of pearl inside a laquered dial.
In Korea this technique has been recognized by the governement as an intangible Korean cultural asset. It is very interesting to note that this level of quality is only possible in Korea as the laquer used gives an antibacterial effect and perfect hydrating balance avoiding any discoloration effect with time on the mother of pearl.
Yvan Arpa discovered this unique technique and their masters during his many visits to Korea while working on the latest Samsung Gear S3. This proves that traditional old « savoir faire» can perfectly live in harmony with the future of technology represented by smartwatches.
Mr Kim Hanmoi has created his own Watch Brand : Moi Watch and Yvan Arpa is proud to support him as a close friend of the ArtyA Family.
